DESCRIPTION:Join us for an unforgettable afternoon of Western Music and Cowboy Poetry at The Bowman Museum in Prineville on Saturday\, September 27. From 3:00 to 5:30 PM\, award-winning performers from Oregon\, Montana\, and California—members of the International Western Music Association—will take the stage to share the music\, stories\, and soul of the American West. \nSaturday\, September 27 | 3:00–5:30 PM | Open Mic at 6:00 PM\nThe Bowman Museum\, Prineville\, Oregon\nAdmission by donation | BBQ available on-site (5:30pm-6pm) \nStick around after the main show for a Western Open Mic beginning at 6:00 PM\, where poets and musicians of all ages are invited to share family-friendly sets (up to 6 minutes).\nAdmission is by donation at the door\, with proceeds benefiting the IWMA Columbia Chapter Youth Program. Delicious BBQ will be available for purchase during the dinner break\, courtesy of the Crook County Historical Society. \nFeatured Performers Include: \n\nTom Swearingen – Two-time IWMA Male Cowboy Poet of the Year\nKathy Moss – IWMA Female Poet of the Year\nDuane Nelson – IWMA finalist and Kamloops Cowboy Festival winner\nBarbara Nelson – Will Rogers Award-winning Western singer\nLarry Wilder – National yodeling champion & international touring artist\nRik “Yonder” Goodell – Will Rogers Medallion Award-winning poet\nGrace Clark – 2024 Western Swing Society Hall of Fame Inductee\nThomas Fitzgerald – Four-time IWMA Youth Cowboy Poetry Contest winner\n\nAlso featuring recitations by youth poets from the 2025 IWMA Columbia Chapter Youth Cowboy Poetry Contest. \nCome celebrate the heritage of the West with songs\, stories\, and heartfelt performances from some of the region’s most talented voices. \n
