A Kitchen Table Conversation

Join us at the Bowman Museum for A Kitchen Table Conversation: Women in the Cattle Industry, an informal roundtable discussion with six women whose lives are deeply connected to ranching and the cattle industry.

Gathered much like conversations that have long happened around kitchen tables, these women will share stories from decades of ranching experience. They’ll talk about daily life on the ranch, family traditions, caring for the land, and how the role of women in the cattle industry has changed—and stayed the same—over time.

This isn’t a lecture, but a chance to listen, learn, and connect through real stories and lived experience. Whether you have a background in ranching or are simply curious about local history, this program offers a welcoming and meaningful look at the people behind a vital part of our region.
