The Crook County Historical Society is recognized as a 501(c)(3) public tax exempt organization by the Internal Revenue Service. Founded in 1969, the Society's purpose is to preserve and promote Crook County's unique history for future generations.
THE ENDOWMENT
The Crook County Historical Society Endowment Fund is a permanent financial resource supporting the Society's purpose and the operation of the Museum. A percent of the revenues (not the principal) from the Endowment are committed annually to the general operations of the Society and the A.R. Bowman Memorial Museum's programs. The Endowment Fund is managed for the Society by the Oregon Community Foundation.
THE METHOD
- There are several methods you can use to give to the endowment and help insure the museum’s long term financial stability.
Cash, Securities, Real Property or other Personal Property (i.e. automobile) - Gifts (Bequests) through a Will or Life Insurance
- Gifts in Trust (You give us the principal and you continue to get the income.)
Donations at these contribution levels will be recognized on our permanent Endowment Fund donor board in the lobby of the museum.
